Alaska Rivers and Lakes

Alaska contains more than 40% of the nation’s surface water resources. The Last Frontier's waterways include over 12,000 rivers, three million lakes greater than five acres and numerous creeks and ponds. A rough idea of the extent of these resources can be observed in the map below. Under the map is a link to a "pdf" file that will give you details of Alaska's extensive system of lakes and rivers.
