Georgia map This elevation map of Georgia illustrates the number of feet or meters the state rises above sea level. From Georgia's lowest point, sea level at the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, the land rises in the western and northern parts of the state where the southern end of the Appalachian Mountains enter Georgia.

The highest point in the state is Brasstown Bald, (also known as Enotah) at 4,784 feet above sea level, northeastern corner of the state, about 6 miles south of the North Carolina border.

Brasstown Bald is located in Towns County about 100 miles northeast of Atlanta.
